e-djuster employs people in two major areas: claims processing and technology development. Here’s a short overview of some of our contents claims specialists processing positions:
Contents Claims Specialists – Field
e-djuster’s field claims staff are assigned new claim files, where they are expected to:
- Conduct site visits to meet the adjusters, policyholders, and contractors; scope the extent of the content losses and/or damages; and provide inventory services for all damaged/destroyed items.
- Direct completed claims inventories to e-djuster’s central processing, for entry and pricing of common items.
- Conduct detailed research and pricing of all major, high-valued items, and as directed by e-djuster central processing.
- Submit completed claims reports to Insurance adjusters and close files to meet e-djuster’s performance cycle times and productivity standards.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
Contents Claims Specialists – In-House
The position of in-house claims specialist focuses on the high-volume processing of the industry’s lower-valued, high-frequency contents claims. This is a process-oriented role, where e-djuster’s standard claims handling methodologies are followed diligently, with respect to adjuster and policyholder communications, reporting and in regards to how all lost or damaged item information is collected on each and every claim assigned.
Pricing Assistants
The main responsibility of our Pricing Assistants is to work with the assigned Contents Claims Specialist and policyholder on each claim to complete the like-kind-and-quality (LKQ) pricing of all inventoried contents.
Contents Claims Specialists and Pricing Assistants are constantly interacting by telephone and/or in person, with the industry’s insurance property adjusters and their policyholders, who have suffered a personal loss or damage of their personal contents. Therefore, they must be “people persons,” and have the ability to deal with the public at large with compassion, sensitivity, understanding and patience.
Claims Assistants
The main responsibility for the Claims Assistant is to complete the data entry, and subsequent like-kind-and-quality (LKQ) pricing of the inventory of policyholders contents recorded by e-djuster’s Content Claims Specialists.
All claims positions are home-based.
Bilingualism is an asset and essential for Quebec applicants.
